South African upstart, Adin Masencamp, dropped a little doco-type clip last week (Sorry for the lag Adin) that featured his triumphant return from that dark lonely place that can sometimes be professional sports.

Mediocre season, dropped by a sponsor, etc., are all things athletes have to deal with but it’s how we move forward that defines the warrior.

Hyperbole aside, Adin Masoncamp dealt with just some of those things but instead of caving to the pressure, he used it as a motivator and turned the ship right ’round. Lots of hard work and some serious soul searching culminated with a huge WSL Challenger Series win over perennial world title contender, Jordy Smith, at the Ballito Pro in SA.
