With COVID raging, somehow Nic Von Rupp was able to make two trans-global journeys in search of the world’s largest waves.

Starting at Nazare on a very large day that saw some huge waves ridden, including a widowmaker in this clip which nearly beheads the Portuguese madman.

Nic then jumps on a long flight to Maui, and we’ve seen some of that footage already.

Nic got a few bombs as well as the usual suspects.

By nightfall, Nic was on a plane heading back to Nazare only to wake up to what many have called the biggest swell of the season.

Yep, it was bombing.

That’s the definition of a week in the life of the Von Froth
