What a great clip.

It wasn’t that long ago when showing up on the North Shore in the fall was almost mandatory if you were an up-and-coming surfer. Especially if you were from California, given the proximity. With COVID and the changing WSL schedule that put the comps into February now, who knows what will become of the decades-long ritual of proving yourself on the 7 Mile Miracle.

What we love about these two guys is they show up simply because it’s where they want to be: surfing some of the world’s best waves of consequence. Paddling out on the big stormy days as well as the fun sandbar days, it’s a refreshing throwback to an earlier era.

And, both Colapinto brothers are beginning to look very comfortable indeed.
