It’s been a few months now since we decamped So Cal for the North Shore. The idea being to embed as deep as possible into the NS scene while also trying to keep intact the required low profile. By some stroke of luck, we happened into what has been called one of the best January’s, surf-wise, in recent memory.

That in mind, if there’s surf on the North Shore it’s a given that Mason Ho will be on it at the best spot and in his trademark fashion.

That being, ruling.

This clip is just one of the many recent days that featured sunny skies, light offshores, and great swell direction. On a day like this dozens of spots along the 7 Mile Miracle would be providing many excellent surf opportunities.

The vibe around town is truly relaxed.
