This cool little clip landed in our inbox this morning. It was shot by Jimmy Lees and reflects a brief look into Julian’s finals day of the 2018 Pipe Masters. The contest thing has never really been a huge focus for us but we enjoyed the human-side of this one and thought you might too. Regardless of how you feel about competitive surfing, this was a banging comp whatever side of that debate you’re on.

Also, if you’ve never attempted to paddle out at Pipe on a large day, check the opening few minutes for a look into how difficult it can be at this size. Sketch for sure.
