With the US Open in town last week, we were blessed with lineups featuring some of surfing’s finest talents. Reef Heazlewood being one of them.

At what looks to be some solid Newps, a wave or two at Lowers, and a few up at HB – including a dreamy barrel that could have been anywhere else notwithstanding the iconic HB pier in the background – Reef scored some pretty good So Cal surf.

Unfortunately, we didn’t take the full suits off all summer!

Watching Reef rip into his trademark gouge and soar repertoire, it’s hard to imagine this guy isn’t going to have a breakout year on the QS/Challenger/whatever it is circuit this year.
