Barron Mamiya has been on many surf media radars for a few years now.

Deservedly.

His latest endeavor being a solid showing in the Billabong Pipe event a few days ago. Barron was easily one of two or three who rose to the top in very challenging conditions. Unfortunately, he came up against the 50-year-old miracle who just happened to be on one of his patented superhuman barrel benders.

We’d sure love to see Barron at Sunset this week.

That aside, he also just dropped a slick vid filmed over 31 days in January, hence the name, and which was filmed exclusively on the North Shore. Which happened to coincided with what some are calling the best January surf-wise in recent memory.

Kid rips and just missed the CT last season. We like his chances this year.

Enjoy.
