A few of us are here on the North Shore this winter and were fortunate enough to watch a few heats of Da Hui Backdoor shootout in person. If you’ve never seen Pipe in all her glory in person, it’s hard to explain how dramatic the scene is.

It breaks so close to shore that you can actually feel it.

This year the comp got a variety of conditions but was pumping size-wise for most heats, including some damn righteous charging from the women!

Video producer extraordinaire, Logan Dulien, decided to enter a team that was comprised of some of the stars of his latest Snapt 4 so Mason Ho, Benji Brand, Baron Mamiya, and Parker Coffin got the call.

And guess what, they won the damn thing!

As always from Mase and Rory, this is a very entertaining clip that gets right amongst it and brings a candid look at finals day
