The What Youth 2015 The Top 5 What Youth Parties of the year

The What Youth 2015 Top 5 Parties

Word’s out: we like to have fun. Because when you work hard on projects, you have to work hard at celebrating their release too. And we just happen to be really damn good at it. And this year was no exception. Here are the Top 5 parties we hosted this year. And hot damn, I think we all still feel the effects from number 1…

5. WHAT YOUTH ISSUE 11 RELEASE PARTY AT LOMA, LONG BEACH, CA

Usually when the cops shut down your party it sucks. But when it gets shut down mid-set of Kim and the Created, cops storming the venue as Kim slides — sorry, slithers — down a pole in a skin-tight money outfit, you can’t help but smile. And thats’ what happened. We partnered with Kr3w Denim and we got more Pacifico than we could handle and put Loma to it’s limits. And sure, cops came, but we had a good 3 hour run there.

4. WHAT YOUTH ISSUE 12 RELEASE PARTY AT ROSE ROOM, VENICE BEACH, CA

This one was a doozie. Our first in Venice Beach, and we convinced Leo Romero and his band Travesura to open for Billy Changer, and it was all capped with the most bizarre DJ set to date by Austyn Gillette. Issue 12 featured Gonz on the cover and it’s entry into the world was very appropriate.

3. TUFF WORLD PREMIERE AND MOSH PIT PARTY AT DON THE BEACHCOMBER, SUNSET BEACH, CA

Don the Beachcomber is one of the best venues in the world. It is a tiki labyrinth of rum and waterfalls and dancing. A “Casa-Bonita” for pirates. We went in there, opened it up to all ages, premiered Noa Deane’s new edit TUFF on a Tuesday night during the US Open shit show and we ignited one of the biggest mosh pit’s we’ve seen in a long time thanks to The Rooms. It was glorious. Also, there were body shots and you girls were looking so good that night.

2. BROTHER WORLD PREMIERE AT STANCE HQ, SAN CLEMENTE, CA

We invaded the San Clemente HQ of Stance, which is a fun house of ripping. And we put Brother on the big screen, The Rooms once again ignited a swirling mosh pit and thousands of humans came out to watch the World Premiere of our film on Kolohe Andino.

1. CLUSTER WORLD PREMIERE AT ACE THEATER, LOS ANGELES, CA

This one had it all. Supermodels, rock stars, surfers, skaters, musicians, a Chili Pepper, all at a beautiful theatre venue in downtown Los Angeles. Austyn Gillette was master of ceremonies introduced the surfers and the movie in grandiose fashion. Bands played, we got drunk and Cluster was seen for the first time. We cannot wait to do this one again. Watch the video below to re-live the night.
