For anyone who’s been there, the stretch of coastline in Southwest France where Charly resides is often mentioned very highly in terms of “must return” places.

The food, the weather, the wonderful French culture, and of course, the surf, all conspire to make a visit in the early fall a trip every surfer should enjoy at least once in their lifetime.

Not all at once obviously.

Charly had been on a roll before injuring a shoulder but is on the mend and we hope to see him returning to his high-performance surf attack very soon. This clip sent over by our friends at Ripitup gives us a little idea of what the man is capable of.

From all reports, there is no indication of when competitive pro surfing will resume with any normalcy, so crew like Charly will just have to keep stuffing sick barrels at home until we see what’s next.
