WY Premiere: Fiancé Listen to their dreamy single “wing”

what youth recommends fiance wing

Fiancé is a five-piece band from Delaware, and their dreamy, shoegazey sound is just what we need right now. Formed in 2014 by Andrew Fusca, Sam Nobles, Jeff Marvel, Brian Bruce, and Tyler Yoder, these high school homies released their debut to indie critical acclaim, presenting a glossed up version of intimate bedroom jams that reminds me of DIIV and Beach Fossils. Listen to their new incredibly soothing yet stimulating single, “wing,” off their new EP Feverdream. It’s almost better than coffee.

“‘wing’ is the first of four songs on this EP that was written by the five of us in a live setting,” says the band. “Our writing process has always varied, but this collection of songs was very group-oriented in it’s instrumental construction.” Recorded at Headroom Studios in Philadelphia, PA, engineered by Kyle Pulley, and mixed/mastered by Andrew Fusca, the album as a whole is polished but still resonates with our raw sensibilities. So listen up. –Maya Eslami
