The Gloomies, a relatively new three-piece from San Diego, whip up a soothing blend of bedroom pop and gaze and indie and all that other feel good sensuality so well, you’ll be slipping into a daydream in no time. Listen to their new single, “SPACE,” featuring Madeline Follin of Cults, whose haunting, angelic vocals, together with lead singer Andy Craig’s main calming thrust, drive the song home. The Gloomies released their debut EP Blackout last year on Thrill Me Records, and with a mini upcoming tour (check dates below), these dudes have the momentum to keep my ears wanting more. –Maya Eslami
