We’re not the same. Never will will be. Can’t even fake like we are. When we lost Andy, surfing also lost an aura, an attitude and romance that we’ll never get back. Still haunted by the news we received seven years ago today, that an immortal had passed. And while today there’s a lot of tributes and memories, if we’re being honest, those are with us every day. His name, his influence. It’s all over the place. And we miss him. Could never thank him enough for leaving us with the pantheon of memories, videos and legendary moments. He’s front of mind always, but especially right now.
