Flat Worms never cease to impress me, or annihilate my eardrums. The Los Angeles-based shredders have been floating under the local radar for almost a year now, and on October 13th they’re finally releasing their self-titled debut through John Dwyer’s Castle Face Records. Consisting of Will Ivy, Justin Sullivan, and Tim Hellman, who’ve all played in a number of impressive bands – Oh Sees, Kevin Morby, Dream Boys!, to name a few – Flat Worms represent the impressive collaborative nature of the current LA music scene, and will melt your face off before you know what’s hit you. Watch their new video for lead single “Pearl,” a funny stop motion day-in-the-life depiction of the band doing normal things like making milkshakes and wearing dog masks.
