Listen to GØGGS Ty Segall’s new punk band rips

what youth recommends ty segall music

That’s right. Ty Segall has yet another band. But this one may be the most punk thing he’s ever done, and ironically, he’s not even steering the ship. GØGGS, an 80s punk/hardcore sort of throwback, is backboned by Ex-Cult’s Chris Shaw, who writes the lyrics and mans the mic. Charles Mootheart, Segall’s frequent collaborator, shreds on axe, as usual. Their debut album – which will be released in November off In The Red – features guests Mikal Cronin, Denee Petracek and Cory Hanson from Wand. Check out their singles below, and don’t miss their upcoming shows in July. –Maya Eslami
