Listen to Drug Cabin New folk psyche for your cruising pleasure

/ PRV

I saw Drug Cabin play a couple weeks ago in Bandit Town and they really blew me away. I mean, Drug Cabin. The name alone has a pretty cozy connotation, and their creamy blend of folk and psyche makes me want to put them on blast as I cruise up the coast with the windows down.

Fronted by harmony masters Nathan Thelen and Marcus Congleton, Drug Cabin released 2 albums this year – Wiggle Room in April and Yard Work in February – seemingly all on their own, which only makes me like them even more. And any band that uses pedal steel to grind out some achy grooves has my attention. Check ’em out.—Maya Eslami
