The Districts and Sun Club tour photos A new zine called CAKE by Caitlin McCann

I hopped onto the last three weeks of a full US tour with The Districts and Sun Club, catching up with them in Texas and making our way back up to the northeast. The District’s are from Philly (where I also currently reside) and Sun Club are some colorful boys from Baltimore. Neither band sounds like the other but they both put on the most energized sets you’ll ever see. Like one night, this girl came up to me at the merch table totally balling her eyes out because she was so blown away by the show. I didn’t take her picture because I didn’t want to disturb the emotion, but it was sweet.

Before the tour, the bands didn’t know each other very well, but by the first night we were all best friends. Love at first sight. We were on a pretty tight travel schedule and didn’t have a lot of hang time in the cities, so the photos revolve around the relationship between the bands and everyone else on the tour. The end result is this big ass 60-page zine called CAKE. —Caitlin McCann

Speak of the Devil A zine by Richard Perkins

We love looking at magazines, making them, smelling them, getting new issues in the mail, standing at the newsstand until our feet hurt and the coffee buzz has our hands shaking as we flip the pages. It’s part of who we are and how we grew up. It’s why we make What Youth. And it’s…
