His last name is often pronounced wrong. Let’s just say it rhymes with Hershey. That may help. A lot of people say it as “Tershay,” but that’s wrong. Now you know.

Raven was updating his SnapChat during the whole trip. Every time we got to a new spot he would turn rap on and play it through his portable speakers (which he carried with him) and he’d hold it in front of his phone and SnapChat himself skating up to the spot. I felt bad on the trip because we only went to a few spots that seemed like he would have been stoked to skate. He usually loves really crazy shit. We did skate this one DIY spot was literally impossible to skate, so he ripped that — and the only other was this wall ride spot in Osaka.

When you get Raven at a tranny spot it is so fucking fun to watch. That DIY spot I mentioned was so gnrly nobody else could even roll around. It was so sketchy, but somehow Raven managed to get like four tricks off on this crazy 12-foot vert wall thing.

Raven was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA and his home park is THE DERBY. He grew up in the same neighborhood as Nat Young and they are really close childhood friends. He is proud of Nat for being as healthy and clean as he is coming from the zone they both grew up.
