Sufis, the duo of musicians Calvin Laporte and Evan Smith, met once upon a time over their love of the Elephant 6 collective (Neutral Milk Hotel) and 20th century classical music. And it shows, in their ability to spin an indie rock leaning riff into an explosion of arrangements that sound so full, you’ll forget there’s only two of them. Watch their new video for “Made Me Leave/Crispy Grapes II” off new album After Hours, which drops today on Burger Records.
