The Jacks are a rock ‘n’ roll band, let’s get that straight. Their vibe is heavily influenced by the British Invasion of the ’60s and ’70s, with a slight Dan Auerbach quality in vocalist/guitarist Jonny Stanback’s delivery, and a clear and present throwback to the blues. Together with lead guitarist Tom Hunter, bassist Scott Stone, and drummer Josh Roossin, this new local 4-piece doesn’t hide behind any bullshit. What you hear is what you get, just as it should be.
