Menace Beach, the Leeds-based band founded by members Liza Violet and Ryan Needham, released their sophomore album, Lemon Memory, just last week, and I can’t stop listening to it. Filled with hints of pop, punk, surf, 90s alt, basically anything worth mentioning stewed up into a huge helping of sweet ear candy, the album reveals a new identity for the band as they begin “edging closer to some sort of grimy truth.” In a world filled with “alternative facts”, I say yes to truth.
