Watch: “Lane Splitter” Oscar Langburne X Christenson Surfboards

/ PRV

With many of the world’s best surfers locked away in a random Newcastle hotel through a bizarre turns of events due to COVID, one of surfing’s master of subtlety, Oscar Langburne, is just what the doctor ordered.

While on a roadie down the coast, Osc dropped by the Onboard shop and scored himself a new stick.

Straight off the rack.

We’ll let him tell the story.

“Basically this little clip just came about by accident. I’d driven down to Sydney to get a mate for a trip down coast and dropped into Onboard. Brent said to take the Christenson Lane Splitter twinny off rack as something different. The spot we were planning on surfing and shooting wasn’t happening so just lucked into a little wave somewhere else and gave it a go. I didn’t even have stickers or anything, just straight out of the car fresh, so I cut out a quick RVCA logo out of tape. Jackson Jones and James Kates filmed it over about 3 hours and Jackson did the edit. Think all that happened on a Thursday and Jacko hit me with an edit couple of days later.”

Very serendipitous, no?

Sometimes the best shit just happens that way.

Enjoy.
