Heaters, an alternative band – if you’re comfortable with that phrase – from Grand Rapids, Michigan, combine a blend of swirling, reverbed psych through a forcefield of distorted vocals that somehow soothe and stimulate your sensitive ears. As founding member and guitarist/vocalist Nolan Krebs says, “We called this record Matterhorn because these songs kind of came to life around a European tour earlier this year, our first time over there as a four-piece that was exploring a wider range of sounds than the sort of surf-rock shit we started out really interested in.
