“You’ve Got A Woman”, the new single from Chicago indie folkers Whitney, is so soulfully funky, you’ll be cruising on this one all week long. And the accompanying video, directed by Peter and Nick Simonite, compliments the song perfectly, as it reveals an age old story of a man longing for another man’s woman, all set against the lonely backdrop of a small desert town. The song, an amazing reinterpretation of the original by 70s cult legends Lion (listen below for true comparison), comes off Whitney’s new 12″ of covers – the flip is a lovely take on Dolly Parton’s “Gonna Hurry (As Slow As I Can)”. Turns out these guys know how to nail a cover. –Maya Eslami
