Allah-Las Announce Tour Dates And premiere live video with unreleased track “Hereafter”

Allah-Las, our favorite LA road dogs, are headed back to that van life this Friday with a slew of North American and Australian tour dates. And what better way to announce the dates than with a dope video of them doing what they do best. Shot on super 8 film by Laura-Lynn Petrick, the clip features previously unreleased b-side “Hereafter”, another exceptional example of how solid these dudes jam when it comes to instrumentals.

“Shooting with Allah-Las was a wild one,” Petrick told me. “These men know how to live. Touring’s a blast, their shows are so full of energy and they carry with them this ethos of carefree intricate rock ‘n’ roll- the good kind.”

“Hereafter” was recorded during the Calico Review sessions at Valentine Recording Studio and pressed and released as the flip to an alternate album take of “Autumn Dawn”. This demo version was recorded at producer Kyle Mullarky’s Pump House in Topanga Canyon, where the Las often record and float their musical inclinations while lounging with resident pig, Mr. Pickles.

The Autumn Dawn/Hereafter 7″ already sold out online. But I heard a rumor Allah-Las are slinging this guy with them on tour, so make sure to catch them live. For now, watch the video and let the creamy, Mellotron-heavy sway of “Hereafter” set the pace for what should be an easy week. –Maya Eslami
