Listen to The Wytches Heavy comedown psych rock from Brighton

what youth recommends the wytches

Summer never really ends in Southern California, and sometimes all the mellow, backyard-style jams we throw at you can wear you out and make your insides scream for something louder. Well, The Wytches, an English rock ‘n’ roll band based in Brighton, are that loud cure you need for your easy listening summertime blues. Check out the single “C-Side” from their new album All Your Happy Life, set to drop September 30th on Heavenly Recordings.

Comprised of Kristian Bell on vox/guitar/organs, Daniel Rumsey on bass, and Gianni Honey on drums, the Wytches’ pulled inspiration from Leo Tolstoy stories and underground metal marathons for their sophomore album. And, with recording master Jim Sclavunos (from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) in the control room, All Your Happy Life is a cauldron of utterly nihilistic comedown psych rock, and a surefire way to dust off that summer glaze. –Maya Eslami
