Listen to Matt Kivel And watch his new video for “Permanence”

Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter Matt Kivel released a new track today for “Permanence”, the first single off his forthcoming album Fires on the Plain, out October 7th on Driftless Records. The track, a stunning example of emotional angst set to wonderfully haunting chords, features Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold on backing vocals and Zig Zags’ Caleb Miller on electric guitar. And, to make the song hit home that much more, Kivel released the track’s music video as well, wherein two men (Kivel and Trey Holland) box the shit out of each other in the desert. It’s bloody and beautiful. Check it out. –Maya Eslami
