There was a time when Dusty Payne was ordering quesadillas in all Kai’s movies and he was surfing better than anyone (maybe ever) along Mexican pointbreaks (see Lost Atlas). And there was some Hawaii heroics to requalify for the tour and you were just thinking: Holy shit, Dusty Payne is the next (insert legendary name here). And then injuries swallowed all that momentum alive. And Dusty has been clawing back for a long time. And this video right here is a serious warning shot for where his surfing is and it makes us really happy to see.
