Listen to Flying Hair And catch them live Monday with Acid Mothers Temple

what youth recommends flying hair

Do you like heavy riffs and demented jams and the image of hair flying wildly all in the name of rock? Flying Hair, the latest heavy band to emerge out of the cracks and nightmares of Los Angeles, present their blend of psych, metal rock in chaotic synergy, where “creepiness abounds with unusual sounds.” Sounds fun right? Check ’em out.

Flying Hair is frontman/bassist Bobby Martin (formerly of Zig Zags), Kurt Mangum on lead guitar and drummer Matthew Clark (of Premonition 13, the latest project of Saint Vitus). The combined force of Mangum’s annihilating guitar with the steady, commanding rhythm of Martin and Clark is mind blowing in person. The band is currently working on a new album, which means new music, and they’re playing Monday night at the Del Monte Speakeasy in Venice with Japanese heavy psych slayers Acid Mothers Temple. –Maya Eslami
