“I thought a vampire theme was a great way to go,” said Curtis Harding to Q Magazine about his new music video for “The Drive.” The song, a sultry, soulful rock ‘n’ roll ride is about “fear of long term commitment and a person trying to change you for better or worse.” Directed by Taylor Bonin, the video stars uber babe Lisa Bechtold as the seductress set out to quite literally change Harding into a vampire. (Warning: you may see a nipple or two.)

“The Drive” is off Harding’s 2014 debut Soul Power, an album that launched him on some “must watch” lists and prompted his inclusion in Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent Music Project. And although he hasn’t released any new material since then, I have a feeling the video’s timing is a tease of new things to come. At least I hope so. –Maya Eslami
