Surfing, Skateboarding, Music, Photography, Travel, Culture and general antics of the youth on the run.

Former is here Dane Reynolds, Craig Anderson and Austyn Gillette’s new clothing line is live (and it looks good)

Yesterday I went on a rant. I do that. Wine at night and all. I said things felt alarmingly stale in surfing. Boredom was getting me, I wanted to drown out the real world with my trusty surf world, where anything was possible and you just ride a wave, man. And I wasn’t happy with what I was finding. I took full responsibility as well, What Youth needed to create too!

Well, I woke up today and the boys at Former did their part now because here we are with something new. New energy. Within 24 hours we’ve found a galaxy of planets that might have fucking water and does have a sun. Dane got detained and released in Portugal and now, we’ve got a new Craig Anderson part and a fresh new line of clothes from Former.

It’s been 3 years coming since Dane and Craig left Quiksilver to trail blaze their own path alongside Austyn Gillette. And well, thank you boys. It’s fucking good to have ya. Fresh energy. Fresh threads. And your own skin in the game.

Go shopping here and enjoy the new, very not boring vid of Craig here.

Watch the teaser for an upcoming part from Austyn below:

Dear Youth A Treatise on Art and Coffee

That thought lingered last Saturday morning as a nice young man in a waxed-cotton apron and mustache — and not a November mustache, but a real annual subscription to the thing — fixed my Guatemalan…
