Michael Cukr is our resident photography nerd. He’s the dude who chased up The Negative Collection, shoots insane photos himself and digs out really rad things like this: The Reservoir. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out @thereservoirquarterly – best experienced on a desktop. I teamed up with @lindleywarren of @theonesweloveproject and @jackcharriesof @theheavycollective to make it happen, and what a collaboration it is. We’ll be releasing a new issue every season.
Our first has eight features and they’re all special. I have two interviews, one with @stacykranitz and the other with @cengizyar. I tackled most of the design for the site, though I based the look on what Jack and Lindley had put together when the project was still destined to be a newsprint journal. I’m glad it’s an online thing — it keeps costs sustainable and we can reach people in faraway places.
