Lee Wilson in “Sosa Badman” Lee stays home and we all score

Video: Carlo Coral

Two years ago Lee Wilson was washing dishes in New Zealand. He’d hung up the boards with stickers and simplified. Normal job, raising a family, shifted to a slower pace. His surfing was always world class, but living in Indo made it tricky to click with an industry based in the US. A strange conundrum when you realize how good the waves he was surfing were. Well, he saved a little something for us, and has reemerged with new sponsors, a new vibe and now this new part filmed at home in Indo. It’s maybe the world’s best surfing done by a former dishwasher.
