Modest Mouse The Lonesome Crowded West Documentary

When I think about Modest Mouse, I think about cracked sidewalks, slate gray Washington skies,  van tours, broken glass, sweaty music venues and early protest to the strip mall-ization of America. And while that’s not exactly a pretty picture, it’s as real as it gets and it’s why we dig Modest Mouse. This really well done film takes you back to the early journey days of Modest Mouse. In the van, early recordings and live shows.  Their music was loud, abrasive and gritty and it’s no coincidence that our own C.S. Louis actually advocates this film — meaning you can be sure it’s legit and core.

For the restless. And the noisy. A rad documentary from the making of one of the great albums of our time. And if you don’t have it, I’m happy for you. You have something worthy of your hard earned money still out there awaiting discovery.
