Christopher Owens, founder of Girls and all around sweetheart, surprised everyone this morning by releasing his most recent album, Chrissybaby Forever.

Produced by J.J. Weiss, who also works with Modern Lover Jonathan Richman, Chrissybaby Forever returns to Owens’ stripped down sound he cultivated in the early phases of Girls. Poppy, jangly, emotional and angsty, pure and light and loose. The perfect soundtrack to the beginning of summer. If you liked Girls’ Broken Dreams Club, you’ll love this one.

The album drops June 2nd on Turnstile, but you can stream it in its entirety here:

Chrissybaby leaves for tour next week. Catch him if you can.
