Surfboard art can be really bad. And good of course, but most often, bad. Depending who it’s in the hands of. From classic iconic pin lines, solid colors, pro and shaper decals, over-done murals…there hasn’t been too many iconic art works under foam and fiberglass. The lightning bolt, Ozzies crowns, Kalani’s Kellog boards, Todd Chesser’s swirly Rusty’s, Tom Curren’s black lines etc.
Pictured below Mitch Coleborn has draped his sleds in some full bleed CLUSTER yardage, a concept he pitched to Kai after taking a liking to the film’s artwork. Mitch took it a step further by working with his shaper Chilli on some inlays using the patterns that have so far been a visual depiction of the film. Mitch is currently checking in to log a month of filming for CLUSTER throughout Indo and Europe.
These won’t be found in store, but will be seen in the film.
