With no actual bio floating around on Los Angeles-based post-punk band Corners, they’ve basically become the conductors of the underground train. Newly unearthed and completely unfiltered in their music writing and live performances.
We got to experience this at our issue 9 release party at the Boathouse Collective where their Joy Division-esque sound coupled with a few brews got everyone dancing and boppin’ around on the dance floor like it was 1981 in Manchester England.
Before their set we pulled them aside to talk about their evolving sound, style and overall outlook on the LA music scene. Watch the full interview to catch a glimpse of what happens when a modestly unique group of guys get together to create a New Wave/Post Punk sound all on their own. —Asal Shahindoust
