It hurts to be hurt. And our friend Ben Nordberg is hurt. He recenlty disclocated his elbow skating a ledge in Germany during the Flip Europe tour and we could tell he needed company. And since we were driving through his neighborhood we asked him to walk one street over from his house to a noisy restaurant at the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd — which is ground zero for shitty, kitschy, tourist and boobie traps alike. And just like that we turned the injured Englishman into a Backstreet Boy tour guide and found out TMZ makes him turn into a very grumpy Englishman.

Ben was part of the dissolved Analog (RIP) and has now been resurrected and has joined the rather eclectic Asphalt Yacht Club team that includes dudes like Nyjah Huston, Stefan Janoski, Stevie Williams, Riley Hawk and more. Pretty fucking sick crew to launch a brand with, eh? Apparently they throw wild parties that feature mansions, hot girls and cars — which is obviously why we got into this racket in the first place. Definitely attending the next shindig with the boys.
Ben is now able to almost swim a full lap in the pool after the disclocation, which in skate terms means he’s good to go. And we’re amped for the comeback.
