A lot of the time, a good photo can be seen before it happens. I remember watching Curren tying his shoe & the instant he looked up, I was ready for the shot. – Ojai, CA
Many questions arise over this photograph, however I have no explanation of it’s background story. Perhaps that is why I enjoy street photography so much. The viewer is forced to form their own story from the information shared in the composition. I believe this process is a terrific exercise for a creative mind. – Los Angeles, CA
When skateboarding originally drew me as a child, it did not take long to find friends that shared the same passion. Over the years, skating has given me friendships that I will forever be grateful for. Jerry, Daryl, Johan, & Jon – Los Angeles
This was the first photograph that I shot with Lance. It was actually the same evening that I was introduced to him. Lance has always been a pioneer for skateboarders, on & off the board. – Los Angeles, CA

Curren decided to buy a scooter at a rest stop en route to a filming session. Immediately following his purchase, extreme stunts were being choreographed & I was fortunate enough to capture this wonderful scene of stoke. – Curren, Nordberg, Louie – California
Child posing with Louie’s skateboard on a trip to SF. We gave him & his pals as much gear as we could before leaving the session. It is incredible to see how much purity is still in skateboarding.
Arto Saari, always searching for the next capture. – San Francisco
Adolescent antics. – Los Angeles, CA
A colorful crew on Fairfax. – Tyler, Errol, Julian // Los Angeles, CA
