Framegrabs: What Youth

We said yes again. And now we’re in Scandinavia. Adidas invited us to join them on a trip to Norway and Sweden with Keegan Valaika, Louif Paradis, Jake Blauvelt and let us bring our friend Chippa Wilson. Cole Barash is shooting photos.

We spent a few days in Stockholm skating with Adidas Europe team. The light was beautiful and the vibes were high. We then flew to Riksgränsen to check out the annual Bank Slalom contest where Jake got 3rd . We’re so far north we haven’t seen the sun go down in 3 days. I had always heard about this and was worried that at the end of the night walking outside of the bar I would hate to see the sun but although it doesn’t set it stays really low and has a really nice feeling. It’s almost psychadelic/ spiritual. Tomorrow we embark on a road trip to Lofoten Islands on a quest to film Chippa doing some front bigspins in the ocean. It’s supposed to be pretty good and snowing. The guy at the airport told us there’s no sharks… only killer whales but they don’t prey on humans. Great news. —Michael Cukr
