By now you’ve seen that our new issue is on sale. When you get your hands on it, you’ll find a trip we did with Jack Freestone (above), Chippa Wilson, Mitch Coleborn and Noa Deane to Macaronis. It was the first official trip for Kai Neville’s new film — an all parts-based film, a first in a long time. Before departure, Kai sent all the boys an email filling them in and getting them amped to huck. Nate Lawrence noticed a change immedietly: “There’s a whole new energy to this film. Guys are on display with a part. They want bangers. They want to go massive. There is nothing delicate going on.”
The results from this trip are displayed in our new book and serve as the next frontier for surfing. Absolute destruction by way of a really fun surf trip between friends. Which is, of course, what it’s all about.
