The other day a friend of mine said to me that if shit hit the fan and he lost his current job, he’d be OK with going to work at the IHOP he drives past every day. “Sure, my ego would kind of take a hit, but I’d do it.” Then he went on to say, “But then I get to thinking: What if all my friends worked at IHOP with me? That actually might be the greatest thing to happen to me, and us…and just like that, it sounds like the funnest existence ever.”
This issue is like that. Because guess what everyone: Shit is in the fan and its splattered all over us. But this issue makes me feel like I’m doing everything with all my friends. We’re all in this together now. And that’s just fine. Throw me into anything, we’ll figure it out. Hell, we’ll make it fun. There is an eclectic and wild gathering of people in this issue Kelly Slater and Langley Fox are somehow on the same spread. So are Yago Dora and Evan Smith. Seriously, check it out. It’s awesome.
Gracing the cover is everyone’s favorite tattoo connoisseur Chippa Wilson, perched on the bow, tin in hand, post Duo Maccas torching. Ready for the sun to dip into the wild Indian Ocean.
What a time to be alive…working at IHOP, covered in shit. And loving it. All together.
