What Youth x Highway 1 At the Boathouse Collective

In true What Youth form, we had some fun last Thursday evening. We brought surf, skate, music, and art together for a great night of cultural fusion at the Boathouse Collective. We teamed up with the Southern California art group, HIGHWAY 1, to create “Heatwave”, which featured a curated show with over 30 local artists, a screening of Hunter Martinez’s latest surf film, Lost in Thought, and music from Clean Spill, Sweet Nobody, and Dixie. Even Droid got into the action with an interactive sound piece on an old-school cassette player. There was also an on-site DTG printer pumping out event tees A huge thanks goes out to Vissla, D’Blanc, House Beer, Ramona Wine, B-Street, and The Bridge To Skate Organization.

We are cranking it up again on Sept. 10th, 7-11pm to conclude the Heatwave show and we will be featuring some new music, as well as a few other surprises. Stay tuned.
