What is the internal connection that makes so many talented skateboarders also excel in other creative endeavors? We may never know, but OG legend Brian Lotti is another name in the list of multi-disciplinary artists. Often dubbed the “Van Gogh of skateboarding” for his surreal watercolor style, Brian’s art stands alone even if he wasn’t already well known. The minds over at adidas Skateboarding recognized his unique skills and allowed Brian to collaborate on a Lotti’s collection that includes a special reissue of the Campus 80s, his same shoe of choice for his early days of skating.

Here is the info from the heads:

“Adidas Skateboarding celebrates the legacy and influence of the renowned Pro skateboarder and artist, Brian Lotti, with a customized Respect Your Roots collection, the brand’s ongoing tribute series, which pays homage to skateboarding’s iconic pioneers and legends. Lotti’s collection leads with a special reissue of the Campus 80s – the same model he adopted for skating in his early career, along with custom short and long sleeve printed shirts featuring his original artwork.

Recounting the style and attitude of the era Lotti came up in, the Campus 80s x Brian Lotti is constructed with a premium nubuck upper and tongue that features a woven ‘Brian Lotti’ signature label atop a herringbone rubber cupsole. The commemorative low-tops also see a special sockliner that showcase Lotti’s custom printed artwork, a consistency throughout the three-piece collection.”
